Anxiously Awaiting...

Today (June 29th, 2011) at 8:28 in the a.m. I got a phone call from my brother David Thorne stating that he is submitting his mission papers on July 17th! We should find out by July 27th or so where he is going! I am SO excited for him!

He is the best big brother anyone can ask for, and I am so lucky to have him as mine! :) He has always be there for me and has supported me. I am so thankful that he is who he is and that he loves me and our family so very much! He is such a hard worker and I couldn't be more excited for him! CONGRATS DAVE! :)You are going to make a great missionary!

Not only that but my wonderful husband is one step closer to getting his Solo's license for helicopter training. I am so proud of him! His Stage 1 test was Monday and he got a 97%! SO impressive! He is so smart and just an awesome guy! I definitely cannot wait til school is completely over (in 4 years) but he is definitely off to a great start! Love you sweetie!!

I Definitely Rock These glasses!
Looking Gooooodd!

As a young couple it is important to have time with each other that is not just sitting at home in front of the TV. It is so important that we go out and enjoy each other. Jake and I decided to go out and have some fun. We took his dads Harley out for a ride for about 2 hours, then went home to wait...

At about 9:30 left to go and see the movie Cars 2! Not just see the movie, but see it in 3D!! The movie was supposed to start at 10:10, but it didn't start until 10:40! ridiculous! Previews didn't even start until 10:30! There were only 10 people total (including us) in the entire theater! LOVED IT! Except the part where Jake and I started to fall asleep because we haven't stayed up that late in YEARS! We MUST be married! haha. Despite the late night, it was the greatest night EVER!

"babies" first swim

So we have struggled with our pups (who are labs) that do not like water! We take them swimming in the lake, but they hate it. Not too long after getting them in the water they are frantically trying to climb on you (leaving many scratch marks ALL OVER) and wanting out.

I took the little farts to the baseball field by the church to go run, but the gate was open (and I did not know) and they got out! After running after them, realizing I couldn't catch them, and starting to run back, they came darting after me. I noticed that they were wet! There is a creek right by the field, and I assumed they jumped in or fell in. So I took them back! I wanted to see if they would go swimming again for me!

Sure enough they jumped right into the creek and started swimming. Jesse got kind of nervous because of the small current that she couldn't swim against very well. I walked with her while she swam and it was so funny and cute! I loved it! I was super excited, so later that night I took them back again with Jake, but I think they had enough and decided not to swim, but to run away into the neighborhood nearby. Oh well. Maybe another time! :)

Trig Joshua Olson

On June 4th my sister-in-law Heather Olson went into the hospital to have her 3rd baby. Another nephew or niece for me! (they made it a surprise!) So that morning Jake and I met up with them and were able to sit in the room with her before she went in for her C-Section. It was wonderful being involved in such a personal, exciting moment in their lives! I loved it!

(Of course however, my wedding ring broke and I had lost the diamond. I retraced my steps and found it on the floor in the middle of the hospital! LUCKY ME!)
At around 10:30 or so my mother-in-law and I were standing at the window by where they passed the baby through, eager to find out what it was. "It" now became HE! The cutest little boy (who looks exactly like his big brother Trey!) They weighed him and measured him and would tell us through the window, 10lbs 21 in! 10 LBS!!! He did not look like he was 10 lbs! (Of course later that day they reweighed him on a different scale, and found out their scale was broken, so he really was 8.4!)

I had to head to work before I could hold him, but got off early enough so that I could run back over to the hospital to meet my new nephew! It wasn't until they left the hospital that they decided on the name Trig (or Trigg) Joshua Olson! YAY!

He is already getting so big, but still SO cute! :) I can't wait to see what kind of little man and adult he will become! I am definitely a proud Auntie Arli!

Attempting to be Creative...

Well I know that I am not the LEAST creative woman in the world, although I would say I am pretty close to the bottom of the list. I can EASILY imagine REALLY cute things and I am always thinking of how to make things cuter. However, when I comes to actually making this images in my mind come to life, it doesn't seem to happen. I see the image, I try to create it, the real life project looks NOTHING like I imagined. Not only that, but it is not always the cutest. I usually do not like the things that I have created. Maybe I will stick to cooking. That doesn't have to always LOOK the cutest, it just has to smell good enough to eat! :)

Well my sister in-law had my new nephew Trig Joshua Olson! So I decided to bring to life another one of my wonderful images, yet disastrous real life projects. It was not terrible, but not what I had imagined AT ALL! Oh well. It's the thought that counts, and the materials that I used that can be used for more important things!
