Preparing for New Life

Well today I am 37 weeks and 5 days! I am getting bigger and bigger, sleepier and sleepier, and more and more uncomfortable!! I don't know how woman do this more than a few times!! Good for them (although they must be lucky and have easy pregnancies!) It is hot and I am quite sore! My back hurts, my feet are swollen all the time, and my knees are beginning to give out! 2 more weeks and I am due! I am hoping and preparing for her arrival soon!! Hopefully sooner rather than later! I am very anxious and as nervous as I was, I am definitely more ready and not as nervous! We have finished the room, except for some shelves, and we have purchased everything we need for this baby!! I am SOO ready!!

38 weeks

Jake does his next check ride to get his Instrument Rating, which is the next level in his quest to becoming an official helicopter pilot! 2 more stages after this and he is done. He then hopefully gets a job with Utah Helicopter where he can build up his hours so he can get a job flying somewhere!! I am so proud of him, and so excited for him to be done!

Springing into a Whole New World

Baby Avery Olson is growing big!!! And she is one strong little girl!! Her kicks are so great and wonderful, but sometimes pretty painful!! She will find herself pushed into one side and if I push back, then I get a pretty hard jab pretty much telling me to "leave her alone"!! It's funny.

We have lots of stuff ready for her to come into this world, however it is really starting to hit me that I am going to be a MOMMY!! AHH!! Kinda of strange to think about! I see myself going into labor and crying hysterically saying that "I am not ready!" Yes, I am pretty sure I will be one of those...!

Jakes parents left for the MTC (Missionary Training Center) to do their training for their mission in the South African Durban Mission! So crazy!! It is strange thinking that they won't be around for 2 years!! Meanwhile Dave (my brother) is still going strong on his mission in Roseville, California! Super proud of him and excited to Skype him on Mothers day/his birthday!!! YAY!!! I know he is going to be really weirded out by my growing belly!!

Life is great, summer is coming and as much as I dread the heat I am excited for the sun to come out!! Hopefully it will make me happier and get me out more so that I am not so down on my swollen ankles and bloated face!!
Chaning table and cute bow board made by my Auntie Lesli!!

Baby Olson update

Kicking her feet over her head, silly girl!

Well I am 22.5 weeks with a wonderful baby GIRL!! I am growing rapidly and already feeling pains in places I never knew possible! The joys of being pregnant!! I haven't had any cravings, and I don't get nauseous because of smells, but I do find myself having small desires that quickly disappear. If I don't eat it right away, I don't want it anymore. This works great when its fast for or unhealthy things, but when I start to cook dinner because I really want something, if it takes too long to cook then I won't eat it. Soooo fun! We are so excited for the end to come, but I am definitely starting to feel more nervous about it! It still doesn't feel that real. I love feeling her kick and move around in my tummy, it is a magical feeling! We are so blessed and cannot wait!!

My growing (very large) belly!

I am finally finished with school!! Graduation is April 6th, 2012!! Who knew this day would FINALLY come! I loved student teaching, but I will greatly miss those little minds I shaped and learned to love! I truly love teaching and cannot wait to have my own classroom, however, I am still unsure if I can really get up the courage to leave a 1 month old baby at home to begin my career. Time will tell! Jake is about halfway done with his school, and his parents are leaving on a mission to South Africa! There is so much going on in our lives that I am hoping these last few months go by super fast! (it is quite stressful trying to find clothes to wear each day!)
Baby Avery giving us the "loser" sign, such a sweet girl!

Happy New Year!!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Can't believe that it is already 2012!!! Who would have thought that the year the world ends would come so quickly!! Just can't wait until 2013 comes and everyone that thought life would be over this year looks dumb (again)!!! But then again...

2011 has been a fun, interesting, and busy time for the Olson family! So much school and work has been done, and for me, there is not much more to do! It has been a long journey hear, but graduation is coming in April!!! Finally! I have started student teaching, and I am very excited for the experience! I also found out after Thanksgiving that Jake and I are going to be a mommy and daddy! I am due July 25th!! We are so excited and cannot wait until we get to meet our little baby! It is a weird thought, and doesn't feel quite real yet, but I am still excited! We couldn't have asked for a better gift for the year 2012!!

Photography

New Business Idea...

I love Photography. Always have. Therefore, I have decided to start a small business type thing. I want to do pictures for friends, family, friends of family, family of friends. You name it, I'll do it!

I am very excited to get started on something that I have wanted to do for so long. If you, or someone you know is looking for someone to do pictures, I am here!! I am charging $50 and you will get a CD with all the photos on it. I think that is not a bad offer?

Football Night at the Olson's

Well, you all know that I am from New Jersey. So I clearly grew up a Giants and NY Yankees fan!! Who else would I be a fan of!?

Unfortunately, I fell in love with my husband and found out he was an Eagles fan and a Boston RedSox fan. How can this be!? I married him despite his faults, and continue to love him. However, when we have sports in our house, things get kind of intense.

I have to say, I hate having the loud screaming and dancing in each others faces, but I do love to win and rub it in! :) Our families don't help the situation either. My parents always get me Yankees items (i love the tree skirt) and his parents always get him Redsox items (and me Yankees). They are encouraging the rivalry. We each have our jerseys for our teams, and come game time, we don't usually speak.

It is fun to have a rivalry, we pretend it matters, but when it comes down to it, my teams are better, I MEAN, we love each other no matter what! GO YANKEES!! GO GIANTS!!

At least we will always have BYU, no matter how bad they are!
