Trig Joshua Olson

On June 4th my sister-in-law Heather Olson went into the hospital to have her 3rd baby. Another nephew or niece for me! (they made it a surprise!) So that morning Jake and I met up with them and were able to sit in the room with her before she went in for her C-Section. It was wonderful being involved in such a personal, exciting moment in their lives! I loved it!

(Of course however, my wedding ring broke and I had lost the diamond. I retraced my steps and found it on the floor in the middle of the hospital! LUCKY ME!)
At around 10:30 or so my mother-in-law and I were standing at the window by where they passed the baby through, eager to find out what it was. "It" now became HE! The cutest little boy (who looks exactly like his big brother Trey!) They weighed him and measured him and would tell us through the window, 10lbs 21 in! 10 LBS!!! He did not look like he was 10 lbs! (Of course later that day they reweighed him on a different scale, and found out their scale was broken, so he really was 8.4!)

I had to head to work before I could hold him, but got off early enough so that I could run back over to the hospital to meet my new nephew! It wasn't until they left the hospital that they decided on the name Trig (or Trigg) Joshua Olson! YAY!

He is already getting so big, but still SO cute! :) I can't wait to see what kind of little man and adult he will become! I am definitely a proud Auntie Arli!

Attempting to be Creative...

Well I know that I am not the LEAST creative woman in the world, although I would say I am pretty close to the bottom of the list. I can EASILY imagine REALLY cute things and I am always thinking of how to make things cuter. However, when I comes to actually making this images in my mind come to life, it doesn't seem to happen. I see the image, I try to create it, the real life project looks NOTHING like I imagined. Not only that, but it is not always the cutest. I usually do not like the things that I have created. Maybe I will stick to cooking. That doesn't have to always LOOK the cutest, it just has to smell good enough to eat! :)

Well my sister in-law had my new nephew Trig Joshua Olson! So I decided to bring to life another one of my wonderful images, yet disastrous real life projects. It was not terrible, but not what I had imagined AT ALL! Oh well. It's the thought that counts, and the materials that I used that can be used for more important things!

Time Flies

Well it is already June of 2011! I can't believe it! June! Where did this year go!? I am back in another semester of school. Once I finish this semester I have 1 more and then I have my student teaching!! YAY! I will officially be graduating April 2012! It feels like forever away, but again, it is already JUNE! I am very anxious, but I am also getting nervous! It will definitely be a big change, but well worth the hard work!

Jake started school again!! How many times is this? :) He spent about a year doing some research, thinking and praying to see if it was really what he wanted to do and he decided this was definitely what he needed to do. So he started school at UVU (online classes) in Aviation Science and will be attending Utah Helicopter (here in Idaho Falls) to become a pilot. He is so excited and loves flying, but he doesn't like being back in school having homework and books! I think it is funny, but with the amount that school costs he is not quitting this time!! Too bad so sad!! :) I am excited for him though! We are hoping that Jake will get a job as a tourist in Arizona so we can move there and be close to family! It would be so fun if he was giving tours in the Grand Canyon and I lived close to family in Gilbert!!

In April Jake and I decided we wanted to go on a vacation. I had 10 days between semesters and so we wanted to go somewhere fun and warm! We were going to try to fly to NJ to visit my family, but tickets, dog kennel, and fun would have cost WAY too much! So we decided to drive to Moab, UT and AZ to visit family! It was so much fun! We went fourwheeling and jeeping in Moab and spent a few days there doing that. Then we drove to St. Johns to visit Grandpa and Elaine, as well as Uncle Nathan and Aunt Tiff & her family. We left the next day to go to Gilbert to spend time there with everyone else! It was a blast! I really have the greatest family in the world and I am so glad that we got to visit!! (And that they got to finally meet my husband!!) We drove back and unfortunately it was rainy, cold and depressing. We wanted to go back so badly, but I had school and we had work...sad. One day!

Our pups Ellie and Jesse are doing great! They are getting so big! Ellie is 2 1/2 and Jesse will be 2 in July! They are so funny and cute and they love us to death! It's funny, but they are our babies!! We love them tons!

Life is great and we are so very happy!! Thank you to all of our wonderful family and friends for being so amazing and helpful!

More from the New Year

Well I finished my 4th semester of school! I have 4 left now! Half way done! I am stoked about getting done this much, I want to quit, but I am gonna keep on going! Lol.

It has been an interesting year so far and we have been having the most fun that we can.

We bought a townhouse! Yay for us! So we have a nice big back yard, an electric fence, and tons of fun! We can leave our dogs out all day and they won't go anywhere. We can go out and BBQ and entertain and we absolutely love it!

Jesse (our baby..puppy) is about 8 or 9 months old now. She is getting so big and soon will dominate in the "play fighting" with Ellie. It is so fun to watch them! They LOVE to be outside, even when it snows. There are 5 dogs behind us and they have found their way into our yard from under the fence! Oh well, not our dogs! :) Jesse loves to greet them!

Ellie is a year and a half. She isn't growing anymore, but isn't maturing either! Lol. She is still a youthful energetic puppy and plays more than Jesse! The two together are adorable, and they are so inseperable. I love it!

My mommy and Danie came out to visit for a week. My mom was looking for a job out here so that they can FINALLY move!!! YAY! It was so fun having them. Because of my mom I am trying some new food dishes. It is fun. I love cooking, and I had a great teacher! I can't wait until they move out here so that I can see the whole family more often! It was definitely a blast having them, and I am so glad they came!

One of the dishes I made

Basil Orange Chicken

Still trying to get pregnant, the time will come when it is our time. No rush. Can't wait though! Until then I have been enjoying my sleep, my nieces and nephews, and my hubby. <3>

January 26th 2010

Well 2010 started and we were so excited for the BIG news! Yes Pregnant.
We were very excited when we found out (New Years Eve) that we were going to have a baby!
As exciting as it was our first doctors appointment was January 25th, and were kind of nervous to go and hear the baby's heart beat.
January 25th came, no heart beat. We were very nervous and scared about what was going to happen. The doctor sent us to go to get an ultra sound the next morning to see the baby and make sure everything was okay.
Tuesday morning we woke up and headed off to the doctors again. The nurse didn't say anything to us except "are you sure about the time of your last menstrual cycle?" and left the room. When she returned she told us we needed to go over and talk to our doctor. We walked across the parking lot, waited in the room for the doctor. The doctor walked in and immediately told us that we had a fetal demise, which means miscarriage. I immediately broke into tears. Our little baby didn't have any cardiac movement. Unfortunately the baby didn't make it.
To make matters worse, I miscarried about the same time I found out I was pregnant. Therefore, I have been carrying the baby for four more weeks than I should have. Now I need to have surgery. They told me that I could have waited a little more to see if I would pass this myself, but I didn't want to. I wanted to get it over with as soon as possible. Wednesday morning I was in the hospital for my first surgery.
It is not easy hearing those words. But I know with all my heart that I will meet my baby sometime! Jake and I still love our baby so much and we will have children someday. As sad as it is for me to know that I am not pregnant anymore, I will be when the time is right. I am definitely excited for when the time comes.
I am still having some extreme pain, and so I have to have some more tests (maybe) to make sure that I don't have another pregnancy (an eptopic pregnancy). If that is the case, I will have to go back into surgery. The doctors seemed very hopeful and not concerned that this was the case (because it is VERY rare). So I am just keeping my head up and I am not going to worry about it. One day at a time.
I want to thank everyone for their prayers and thoughts. We truly appreciate it. I have been emotionally doing better than expected, I think it is because of my knowledge of life after death, and all the loving family and friends that I have. Life is precious, don't take it for granted. Enjoy every moment and every little thing that you have.
Oh, and HAPPY 18TH BIRTHDAY DANIELLE (January 26th!) Love you!
Also, HAPPY 30TH BIRTHDAY RACHEL! (January 31st!)
